Great Outdoor

If you know Kinley, you know my child loves to be outside. Since it has warmed up and no snow on the grass, Kinley is outside. Yesterday, I worked on pulling weeds in the garden. Kinley played outside with her baby and the craddle. She and Rosco played a little. We had to eat our lunch outside on the front step. Then we went to a swimming party at the swimming pool and had lots of fun. We came back home and what did we do? We went back outside. I pulled some more weeds and Kinley played with the garden hose. Finally at about 6pm we came inside so I could start dinner. Kinley had a fit because she was tired but didn't want to come in. At 6:30 she stopped crying and fell asleep for the night. Yes, I said 6:30 she fell asleep! She snuck into bed with me a few times but slept all night. Kids, gotta love em!

Donuts

Don't these look yummy? Well, they were. I bought a donut cutter a few weeks ago and finally made some home made donuts. It was pretty easy except for the help of 2 kids. Preston kicked the bowl with the dry ingredient onto the floor with flour everywhere (He was in his boucy chair on the kitchen table and he wiggled down far enough that he could kick the bowl I had sitting in front of him on the table. So, I started over with the dry ingedients and then as I was stirring the ingredients on the stove so they wouldn't burn, Kinley tipped her juice over on the floor, the same place as the flour. But it is so worth having stories to tell!

New Kitchen floor!

Jake spent last weekend tiling our kitchen. Thanks to mom and dad, we had their left over tile and were able to use it for our floor. It took some time to get the old linolium off the floor...3 layers and a subfloor. Jake did a lot of work but I think it payed off. Everything in my kitchen is new except the cupboards.

Prestons 1st tooth

Preston is growing up, his 1st tooth popped through on Sunday. Can you believe he is almost 7 months old! He is just so precious!

Kinley builds a bunny

Mom told Kinley when she got rid of her binki we would go and stay with Auntie Martha and go to Build-A-Bear. So, Kinley has been binki free for a couple months and our schedules finally allowed us to go to Salt Lake. We went to Build-A-Bear on Friday after Auntie Martha got off work. Kinley had a cuddle test with all the animals to find out what animal she was going to make. The brown bunny with soft, big ears passed the test. Next stations...sound. Kinley loved the birthday song they had but unfortunatly that sound chip was all gone. She settled for the giggle. Next station...stuffing. Kinley was a little shy with the worker so Auntie Martha pressed on the peddle to stuff the bunny. It's nice and cuddly now. Next station...wash. Kinley agian a little shy but finally she fluffed her bunny. Last station, the longest station...dressing. Kinley picked out this pink t-shirt that had the Disney Princesses on it but wasn't very cute. Shhh...we talked her out of it so she would get a cute outfit. Kinley picked out levi capris with a pink and black polkadot shirt. The lovely bunny was named Pinky. Miss Pinky was spoiled getting purple jammies and another outfit. Pinky also has a pink bed, blow up couch, purse, sunglasses, and hair pretties.

Prestons first accident

Well, I will tell you up front, not proud of this post! We were in Park City on Saturday...shopping of course!...and Preston wanted to be held. So, I held him all day except when he took his nap. Well, we were in the Childrens Place and I put him in his stroller and I didn't seatbelt him in, the only time all weekend, because I knew I would be picking him up in 2 seconds and I just wanted to look at the shirts that were on sale. Well, in slow motion, I looked over as I see Preston slide out of the stoller onto his feet, then to his knees, and then....flat on his face! Oh, it was awful. I felt like the worse mom ever! He had a bloody lip so his face was all bloody. I rushed to the bathroom and my luck...both bathrooms were full and there was someone waiting. So, as patient as I could I waited. I was grabbing snow to wash the blood off his face and finally a bathroom opened and I could wash him up. It wasn't as bad as it could have been but I still fee awful to say the least. Poor little guy. We gave him some Tylenol and he recovered quite quickly. When we were at Temple Square, his lip started bleeding again, I think from sucking a little too hard on his binki, but since then, no more bloody mouths!

Visit to Temple Square

On Sunday we stopped at Temple Square on our way home from Salt Lake. Kinley had seen the organ at the conference center over conference and thought it was pretty cool. So, she wanted to go see the big piano. We saw the organ at the Tabernacle and Conference Center. She thought they were pretty cool. We did have some mishaps at temple square. Kinley wanted a picture of the temple so we took some pictures and mom took our picture and I went to grab my camera and not sure what happened but the camera didn't come in complete contact with my hand and it dropped. So my camera is at the camera doctor to see if it can be fixed. (Doesn't it just make you sick!) Well, then we were starting to head into the visitors center and Kinley was following mom, guaking of course! and ran into the metal fence post and scratched her chin. Good news...that was the last of our clumsiness for the weekend!
